The Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD) is the state's sales and marketing arm, the lead agency for attracting new business investment, encouraging the expansion of existing industry, locating new markets for Georgia products, attracting tourists to Georgia, promoting the state as a location for film and video projects, as well as planning and mobilizing state resources for economic development.

The international trade manager and administrative assistant positions for the Global Commerce division which were posted in June, 2009 will not be filled at this time because of additional budget cuts.  Should conditions change within the next three months, applicants who applied in June will be considered and need not reapply.
