Women are included only if they are a member of a minority race. The following groups are considered minority:

How does the State of Georgia define a small business?

A small business is a business which is independently owned and operated and must have either fewer than 100 employees or less than $1 million in gross receipts per year.

The Greater Women's Business Council (GWBC) for women business owners interested in promoting, developing and maintaining business relationships with major corporations, governmental agencies and other women business owners. 

 

Georgia Women Entrepreneurs (GWEN) provides technical assistance, sharing and networking opportunities among Georgia women business owners.

 

Georgia Minority Supplier Development Council (GMSDC) a corporate member-based organization to foster and expand economic opportunities between Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs), corporations and government entities within Georgia.

 

Women's Business Enterprises National Council (WBENC) is the nation's leading advocate of women-owned businesses as suppliers to America's corporations.

 

National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO)  propels women entrepreneurs into economic, social and political spheres of power worldwide.

 

Women's Economic Development Agency -  a women-centric organization that serves an ethnically  and gender-diverse clientele through a variety of economic development programs.


Minority Business Development Center provides assistance that targets women and minorities and offers character-based SBA loans to women, minorities, veterans, or anyone located in a low-income or HUB Zone.
