Georgia Youth Entrepreneurship and Mentoring programs exist throughout the state. 

 

Youth in Georgia who are looking to start their own business can click utilize business start-up resources or the Teen Business Guide. School programs or certification courses at Georgia’s technical colleges offer youth entrepreneurship and mentoring programs.  See listing below.  You may also check your local chamber of commerce to learn of youth programs within your own community.

Junior Achievement of Georgia
Junior Achievement of Georgia inspires and prepares young people to succeed in a global economy. JA brings the real world to students, opening their minds to their full potential by bridging the business and education communities. 

Global Achievers
Global Achievers fosters international education by matching high school classes with partners around the world, enabling them to meet and interact throughout the school year. Founded in 1995 as Achievers International-Georgia, Global Achievers is a Georgia-based non-profit corporation dedicated to providing a unique learning experience for students of all ages and nationalities. 
 
Georgia FBLA
Georgia FBLA is a nonprofit student organization committed to preparing today's students for success in business leadership. With over 50 years of experience, Georgia FBLA is the premiere organization for student leaders. Georgia FBLA is an affiliate of Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda, Inc., the largest student business organization in the world with more than 250,000 members. Georgia is also the largest FBLA chapter in the nation with over 17,500 members. 

Georgia REAL Enterprises
Georgia Rural Entrepreneurship through Action Learning is one of thirteen state-level programs aimed at fostering student entrepreneurship at high school, post-secondary and now elementary and middle levels. 

Youth Entrepreneurs of Atlanta
Youth Entrepreneurs™ of Atlanta (YE-Atl) is a privately funded business program hosted in public high schools that teaches students free-enterprise fundamentals through hands-on learning activities, including a final project of writing and presenting a workable business plan. YE-Atl students will learn about different types of businesses and the many aspects of running a business. The goal of the program is to spark students’ interest in owning their own business or creating value as an employee by “thinking like an owner.” YE-Atl’s role is to reveal avenues of opportunity for young people who dare to dream.  
 
DECA
DECA’s objective is to support the development of marketing and management skills in career areas such as hospitality, finance, sales and service, business administration and entrepreneurship. Programs and activities are tailored to the specific career interest of students and include technical skills, basic scholastic and communication skills, human relations and employability skills, and a strong emphasis on economics and free enterprise. DECA provides recognition and leadership activities directly related to attainment of specific occupational and leadership skills. DECA’s mission establishes clear criteria for its programs and activities.

Terry College of Business - Center for Entrepreneurship
The Center for Entrepreneurship for the University of Georgia is an initiative proposed by the MBA Entrepreneurship & Venture Capital Club of the Terry College of Business. The Center will promote an entrepreneurial vision across programs, events, opportunities, and academic research activities within the University of Georgia.

Entrepreneur Club

The Georgia Tech Entrepreneurship Club is an organization which fosters entrepreneurship at Georgia Tech and in the greater Atlanta community. The association seeks to instill strong intellectual, leadership and creative qualities in its members by serving as an educational and developmental resource. The organization also aims to strengthen ties with existing entrepreneurial groups (ATDC, Venture Lab, TAG, MIT Enterprise Forum, etc.) and to provide networking opportunities with successful entrepreneurs. Members can develop valuable business skills by participating in local and national competitions including the Georgia Tech Business Plan Competition and the Venture Capital Investment Competition. Overall, the Club serves as a resource for students who are interested in learning how to get involved and how to make an impact in the entrepreneurial community.

Center for Entrepreneurship

The Herman J. Russell, Sr. International Center for Entrepreneurship is dedicated to improving the chances of success for 21st century entrepreneurs. The Center has three areas of activity with approximately equal priority: degree programs, worldwide knowledge creation, and engagement in the community. Our degree programs for students include graduate courses leading to a concentration in entrepreneurship or a career path in international entrepreneurship for MBA students. In addition there are a number of undergraduate courses. All courses balance theory with practical experience, with the result that students are well prepared for the excitement and the risks of creating and managing a new business.

This emphasis is designed for persons whose career aspirations include starting, managing, and developing their own businesses. The distinguishing characteristic of the emphasis is that it focuses on teaching students how to assume total responsibility for a business enterprise. This emphasis is especially appealing to self-motivated individuals who prefer to be their own bosses and who are unafraid of expressing and taking action on their ideas.
