Georgia has had a long and distinguished history of filmmaking that began as early as 1912. However, it was the 1972 film "Deliverance" that really helped put Georgia on the industry map. Throughout the years many films have been shot in Georgia and this map (PDF) shows the locations used from 1973-2007.
