Georgia Logistics Summit
The Center also provides forums for companies to network, address industry issues and share knowledge. We host the annual Georgia Logistics Summit, one of the southeast’s premier logistics and supply chain-focused events. Speakers from prominent shippers and supply chain-focused companies, leaders in the state’s infrastructure and economic development communities, and attendees convene to address key topics impacting the industry now and in the future. Mini forums and working groups also are convened to address specific industry challenges and opportunities.

Support for Shippers
The Center of Innovation collaborates with cargo-owning companies to harness Georgia’s unparalleled multi-modal infrastructure and wide range of logistics service providers, which is the reason why the state is the locale for many major warehouse and distribution centers, including those operated by major retailers like Target, Walmart and Carter’s.
The Center can assist with evaluating options, connecting shippers to Georgia’s logistics providers, and providing logistics trends and data-driven projections. It all leads to options that save time and money.
Logistics Workforce
We facilitate a continual dialogue between the industry and the state’s educators to foster collaboration on the knowledge and skills required by a workforce in a rapidly changing logistics industry. Georgia offers programs through the Department of Economic Development's Workforce Division and Georgia Department of Labor and is fortunate to have a network of logistics programs in 30 institutions within the university system, 23 technical colleges and 37 college and career academies.
Finding and connecting companies to this pool of knowledge is one of the Center of Innovation logistics team’s specialties. Recently, the Center and Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce (MAC) collaborated on the report Georgia Leading the Way: The Logistics Workforce for the Future.

Georgia Logistics Summit
Created in 2009 as an event to bring together all aspects of the logistics industry for lunch, the Georgia Logistics Summit has grown to become one of the Southeast’s most important logistics and supply chain focused events.
Each year, the Summit has brought together speakers from prominent shippers in the industry, leaders in the state’s infrastructure and economic development community, as well as keynote speakers from some of the world’s most prominent supply chain-focused companies.
