Accessibility

Thank you for visiting Georgia.org, a website from the Georgia Department of Economic Development. Georgia.org is designed to make it easier and more efficient for Georgians to interact with state government.
We are committed to reduce barriers to website content for visitors with disabilities by moving toward an inclusive, accessible online experience for users of assistive technology. People who are blind can use a screen reader to navigate Georgia.org and access information clearly, consistently and logically. People who can't use a mouse can navigate the site with one key, without being blocked from other parts of the site that are available to people who use a mouse.

We wrote the text on Georgia.org with readability in mind. The site isn't full of jargon or complex language, and we designed the site with high-contrast colors for easier readability.

Georgia.org has incorporated Section 508 compliance standards for web accessibility. Section 508 is a federal government mandate for web accessibility and is a good benchmark for all government websites to follow. Georgia.org goes above and beyond Section 508 by implementing the best practices recommended by the World Wide Web Consortium's Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0).
