Angel Jackson has been at the University of Georgia since 2007; she joined the Archway Partnership in January of 2010. Throughout her time at Archway, she has served in various capacities and has been responsible for communications, budget and finance, human resource processes and project management across all of the Archway communities. She currently serves as an Operations Coordinator and oversees Archway personnel and operations in Candler, Hart and Spalding (and previously in Whitfield) counties, working closely with public service units, colleges and schools at UGA, and other higher education institutions and technical colleges across Georgia. Prior to joining the Archway Partnership, Angel worked for the Vice President for Student Affairs (UGA) where she focused on communication, data management and event planning. Before starting at UGA, Angel taught English in Verona, Italy and worked as an on-site coordinator for the Verona International Program, a private study abroad and touring company.
Angel earned her BA in Speech Communication and Master of Public Administration (MPA) degrees from the University of Georgia. In December 2010, she graduated from the Georgia Academy for Economic Development. From 2013-2014, she was honored to be a member of the Public Service and Outreach Vivian H Fisher Leadership Academy. In 2015-2016 she was a member of Leadership Oconee, after which she founded the Leadership Oconee Alumni Association (of which she currently serves on its Executive Committee). Currently she also serves as an organizer and facilitator for Youth Leadership Oconee. Angel, a native of Griffin, Georgia, and her husband, Stan, currently reside in Watkinsville with their son and daughter.
