‘Art of Georgia’ Exhibition: Celebrating Creativity, Inspiring Leadership

Georgia’s talent and beauty are on full display with the latest “Art of Georgia V: Landscapes” exhibit, a collaboration between the Office of the Governor and Georgia Council for the Arts.
Forty-seven contemporary Georgia visual artists have been selected to have their work on exhibit primarily in the executive offices of the State Capitol and the Ballroom of the Governor’s Mansion – allowing policymakers, visiting dignitaries, and guest of the Governor’s Office to appreciate the beauty of the state.
Since 2012, the “Art of Georgia” series has provided a platform for the state’s homegrown artists to share their talents and bring inspiring landscapes to the heart of state leadership. A total of 58 pieces from artists representing 25 counties collectively highlight the breathtaking landscapes of Georgia. From waterfalls in the mountains to the unspoiled beaches along the coast, viewers will enjoy an artistic tour of the state’s diverse natural beauty.
“Through their paintings and photographs, these artists are expressing their community pride and appreciation of our state’s natural beauty.” – Georgia Council for the Arts Executive Director Tina Lilly
“Art of Georgia” is a reminder that the arts are woven into the fabric of our state, and highlights the broader cultural landscape. Georgia has long recognized the role of the arts in economic development, tourism, and education, and this exhibit is just one of the many ways the state supports and uplifts its creative community.
The exhibit does more than just decorate the halls of the Capitol and Governor’s Mansion – it also serves as a source of inspiration for those who walk them. As legislators and officials go about their work, these landscapes serve as a reminder of the communities they serve.
“Through their paintings and photographs, these artists are expressing their community pride and appreciation of our state’s natural beauty. From the rural fields of South Georgia to the vibrant cityscapes of metro areas, this is a celebration of the diversity and spirit of the people who call Georgia home,” said Georgia Council for the Arts Executive Director Tina Lilly. “We appreciate the support of Governor Brian Kemp, First Lady Marty Kemp, and the Georgia General Assembly in using these works to spotlight some of Georgia’s most beloved scenic locations.”
The artworks were selected by Georgia Council for the Arts and the Office of the Governor, and will be displayed until 2026. For those interested in exploring the current exhibit, a digital exhibit guide is available here.
