Georgia’s landscapes and creative talent shine in the latest “Art of Georgia” display, a curated grouping of paintings and photographs presented by the Office of the Governor and Georgia Council for the Arts.

Featuring landscape works by 40 contemporary Georgia visual artists, “Art of Georgia” will be displayed in the executive offices of the State Capitol and the Ballroom of the Governor’s Mansion through 2027.

Rather than a public gallery show, “Art of Georgia V: Landscapes” is placed in official state spaces to inspire policymakers, visitors, and dignitaries. Guests of the Governor’s Office experience the state’s diverse natural beauty through the eyes of talented Georgia artists whose work reflects the pride and character of the communities they call home.

Since 2012, “Art of Georgia” has provided a meaningful platform for Georgia artists, recognizing the essential role their creativity plays in shaping the cultural fabric of the state. The current display includes 51 works by artists representing 23 counties, capturing landscapes from the mountains to the coast – and underscoring the lasting value of the arts to Georgia’s identity, economy, and quality of life.

More than adorning the halls of the Capitol and Governor’s Mansion, “Art of Georgia” offers inspiration to legislators and officials about the communities, people, and places they serve.

“The selected artwork reflects a deep sense of community pride and a shared admiration for Georgia’s landscapes,” said Georgia Council for the Arts Executive Director Tina Lilly. “From rural vistas in South Georgia to metropolitan skylines, this display celebrates the talent and traditions of the people who call this state home. We are grateful to Governor Brian P. Kemp, First Lady Marty Kemp, and the Georgia General Assembly for their continued support of Georgia artists.”
