Brian Dunn has been with Americold since 2018. He leads Americold’s Facility Maintenance and Energy team globally and, as such, oversees Americold’s sustainability initiatives, including efficient energy usage and power generation, the company’s recycling programs, and ongoing, environmentally sensitive maintenance activities. Brian’s team contributed to Americold’s recent Environmental, Social, and Governance publication for 2021, demonstrating Americold’s metrics and programs that support its customers temperature-controlled supply chain infrastructure requirements.
Brian’s held a number of sustainability-related roles, including the University of Tennessee – Reliability & Maintainability Center where he was on the Board of Advisors, Kellogg’s where he was the Director of Reliability, and Coca-Cola North America & Coca-Cola Refreshments.
Brian is a certified PMI Project Management Professional, a Certified Energy Procurement Professional with the Association of Energy Engineers, a Certified Maintenance Reliability Professional with the Society of Maintenance Reliability Professionals, a Certified Reliability Leader with the Association of Asset Management Professionals, and a Certified Assistant Refrigeration Operator with the Refrigeration Engineers & Technicians Assoc.
He also holds a Green Building Certification with the LEED Green Associate program and is a six-sigma green belt.
Brian has an MBA from Colorado State University, and a bachelor’s in business from Middle Tennessee State University. Brian also holds certifications from Penn State University for Food Safety & Sanitation for Food Manufacturers, and Beverage Processing from Purdue University. Brian also has certifications in Ammonia Refrigeration I, II, II, and PSM / RMP from Lanier Technical College and Agricultural Sciences certification – Refiners Institute from Nichols State University.
