Buddy Harden
State Representative Buddy Harden was first elected to the Georgia House of Representatives in 2008. He is currently serving his fourth term representing District 148 which includes Crisp, Pulaski, Wilcox counties and part of Houston County. He serves as Vice Chairman of both the Agricultural and Consumer Affairs and the Natural Resources and Environment Committees, as Secretary of the Small Business Development Committee, and as a member of Appropriations, Health and Human Services and Banks and Banking Committees. In addition he is Chairman of the Legislative Overview Committee for The Georgia National Fairgrounds and Agricenter and Chairman of the Houston County Legislative Delegation. By appointment of Speaker of the House he is a member of the State Workforce Development Board.
Buddy is a retired pharmacist and during his career practiced in a variety of practice settings including Hospital Pharmacy, Independent Community and Chain Pharmacy, Consultant Pharmacy and Military Hospital Pharmacy prior to purchasing two independent pharmacies which he sold to his partner in 1996. He then served as CEO of the Georgia Pharmacy Association for ten years. In that position he also had responsibility for the Georgia Pharmacy Foundation, Georgia Pharmaceutical Services and the Insurance Trust. Following his retirement in 2006, Buddy ran for and was elected to the Georgia House of Representatives
