Aerospace Manufacturing in Georgia

Aerospace manufacturing is the vital role of producing, assembling, testing and maintaining aircraft or spacecraft. Due to the extensive range of skills used in this work, building an aircraft requires collaboration amongst a complex network of companies.

In Georgia, aerospace products have been the top international export since 2004, largely due to the vast support system in place that helps companies succeed. Industry leaders, academia and the government collaborate to create a business-friendly culture for more than 800 aerospace companies operating in the state. There are roughly 100,000 people working in aerospace-related occupations, and this number continues to expand with an ever-growing skilled workforce. In 2021, Georgia took the no. 4 spot on Pricewaterhouse’s (PwC) annual Aerospace Manufacturing Attractiveness rankings, making it one of the top places in the country to establish and grow an aerospace manufacturing company.

The Center of Innovation helps aerospace manufacturing companies in the following ways:

  • Establishing essential connections between businesses, universities and the government to promote a pro-growth atmosphere
  • Providing technical expertise and industry knowledge to companies in all stages of business development
  • Staying on top of current trends and shifts in the industry in order to provide timely and relevant information
