Steve Shaffer - Aerospace Director
Steve is a true aviation enthusiast who started his career as an airline pilot and eventually transitioned into varying Aerospace and Technology leadership roles. An aviation and technology specialist, he has spent his 30 years in the aerospace industry working at some of the most iconic airports, airlines, and aerospace companies in the world: JetBlue Airways, Beechcraft, AOPA, Dallas / Fort Worth International Airport, and most recently Wencor (a HEICO company) the largest aerospace aftermarket engineering company in the world.
Steve is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace and Technology from Kent State University.

Gary O'Neill - Sr. Aerospace & Defense Specialist
Gary O’Neill is a Senior Research Engineer with the Georgia Tech School of Aerospace Engineering and an instructor in the Professional Masters in Applied Systems Engineering Program of Georgia Tech. He is a former Navy helicopter pilot and engineer with interests in unmanned systems and system sustainment. He currently serves as the Senior Aerospace and Defense Specialist of the Center of Innovation and is the coordinator of the Georgia UAS Working Group.
