Savannah Bee Company is Buzzing in Georgia & Beyond

When Ted Dennard was just 13 years old, an elderly neighbor showed him the art of beekeeping, and he became hooked on the trade. After keeping bees throughout high school and college, he began experimenting with different honey products. In 2002, Ted founded Savannah Bee Company in his hometown. Today, the company has grown exponentially and sells its fine honey and health & beauty products to thousands of stores and consumers worldwide. The company's Bee Cause Project also puts hives in schools, opening up the opportunity for a new generation of kids to learn and discover.

“The amount of resources and support GDEcD and the UGA Small Business Development Center provide to small businesses is remarkable. We are very fortunate to have such helpful representatives who desire to help us succeed locally and internationally.”
– Ted Dennard, President & Head Beekeeper, Savannah Bee Company
