Filmmaker Gives Back Through Teaching Middle School Filmmaking
Mike Morris is a photographer, business owner, writer, and producer. But he is most proud of his title as teacher. Mike teaches visual storytelling and film at the Utopian Academy for the Arts in Clayton County. Through his classes, Mike teaches his students the importance of creative storytelling through media. His students are fortunate to have the film industry right in their backyard as they explore possible careers in film production. “When I was growing up, we didn’t see Georgia as a place for opportunity in filmmaking. Now the industry is growing right around them. I’m so happy and excited that Georgia has become a place where a kid’s dreams can come true.”
