Production Brings New Life to Gwinnett Place Mall
The Netflix series “Stranger Things” economically revitalized the once closed Gwinnett Place Mall by it into a movie set. Making the mall the premier setting for its third season, “Stranger Things” brought plenty of opportunity to this community in Gwinnett county. The financial support provided new revenue and uses for this once abandoned facility. The mall is indicative of the amount of production activity that has been occurring recently in Gwinnett, with 100 film permits being issued over the past couple of years.
