Production Set in Barnesville Brings “Money in the Bank”
As the setting of the HBO series “Sharp Objects,” Barnesville went through a dramatic transformation that brought jobs and economic opportunity. Production crews shopped in stores, hired locals for various set projects, and rented multiple spaces through town. Though there was a lot of excitement in the production, city leaders knew it was “money in the bank.”
