Sharpsburg Man Finds Film Work After Recession

After being laid off from his surveying job in 2010, Sharpsburg native John Privett started to getting work in Georgia’s film industry. One of his friends in the survey industry suggested he start working in craft services due his knowledge of local stores. On the set, craft services provide food to the workers on a film set. One job became another, and then after a couple of productions under his belt, John was working 7 days a week, providing for his family and driving to various productions across the state. He even worked on Oscar nominated productions. John shops locally for food, spending up to $2,000 a day in stores.
