Walt Farrell is Vice President of Community and Economic Development for Georgia Power, where he leads efforts in business recruitment, community development, workforce development, and education. Previously, he was Manager of Statewide Economic Development at Georgia Power, overseeing business attraction across Georgia. Before joining Georgia Power in 2015, Farrell served as Director of Advanced Manufacturing at the Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD), where he handled business recruitment and led the state’s industrial site certification process. He currently chairs the Georgia Lottery Corporation’s Board of Directors and serves as Treasurer of Leadership Georgia’s Board. Farrell holds an MBA from Auburn University and a BS in Finance and Marketing from Clemson University. He resides in Atlanta with his wife Emily and their three daughters.
