Service First Logistics Corporation opens third Georgia location

ATLANTA, May 15, 2006 - Service First Logistics Corporation, based in Memphis, Tennessee, is expanding its cold storage and dry product warehousing operations into the metro Atlanta area. The corporation has employed 40 workers at locations in Atlanta, Lithonia and College Park and plans to hire 40 to 60 more employees in the next two years. These locations represent an investment of $3 million with a possibility of future expansion. 'Atlanta's logistics network makes the area an ideal site for storage facilities,' said Craig Lesser, commissioner of the Georgia Department of Economic Development. 'We're pleased Service First had such a positive initial experience in Georgia that the company has made the commitment to continue to expand and grow in our state.' Service First's most recent location opened in April in the former Winn Dixie distribution facility at 5400 Fulton Industrial Blvd. The corporation is leasing approximately 250,000 square feet of cold storage space and, in a second lease, has secured the remainder of the 700,000 square foot building for dry storage. The company began its expansion into Georgia by establishing a Lithonia branch in April of 2005, followed by another branch in College Park last September. Its Georgia presence will continue to provide services to many nationally branded companies, including Little Caesars, TCBY and Jason's Deli. "We have wonderful customers, and our ability to find good, qualified employees has been the biggest reason we've had such great success in Georgia.'
