Georgia Department of Community Affairs
The Georgia Department of Community Affairs (DCA) has been an advocate for our state’s communities since its creation in 1977. For four decades, DCA has helped communities spur private job creation, implement comprehensive plans, develop downtowns, generate affordable housing solutions and promote volunteerism.
Georgia Department of Labor
The Georgia Department of Labor provides a wide range of services to job seekers and employers. These include administration of Georgia’s unemployment insurance, employment service, provision of workforce information to the public and private sectors, and oversight of child labor issues.
Technical College System of Georgia
The Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) oversees the state’s technical colleges, adult literacy programs, and a host of economic and workforce development programs. TCSG through the Technical College System of Georgia provides a unified system of technical education, adult education, and customized business and industry training through programs that use the best available technology and offer easy access to lifelong education and training for all adult Georgians and corporate citizens.
University System of Georgia
The University System of Georgia (USG) is a part of the community in each of Georgia’s 159 counties and provides services across the state. The USG is composed of 26 higher education institutions including four research universities, four comprehensive universities, nine state universities and nine state colleges. It also includes the Georgia Public Library Service, which encompasses approximately 389 facilities within the 61 library systems throughout the State of Georgia. Additionally, the USG includes the Georgia Archives which identifies, collects, manages, preserves and provides access to records and information about Georgia.
Georgia Department of Agriculture
The Georgia Department of Agriculture’s mission is to provide excellence in services and regulatory functions, to protect and promote agriculture and consumer interests, and to ensure an abundance of safe food and fiber for Georgia, America, and the world by using state-of-the-art technology and a professional workforce.
Georgia Environmental Finance Authority
Founded in 1985, GEFA facilitates programs that conserve and protect Georgia’s energy, land, and water resources. GEFA provides loans for water, wastewater, and solid waste infrastructure; manages energy efficiency and renewable energy programs; oversees land conservation projects; and manages and monitors state-owned fuel storage tanks.
Georgia Department of Transportation
The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) plans, constructs, maintains and improves the state’s roads and bridges, and interstate highways; and provides planning and financial support for other modes of transportation including rail, transit, general aviation, and bicycle and pedestrian programs. The department is also involved in waterways, including the Savannah and Brunswick ports and intracoastal waterway.
Georgia Department of Revenue
The mission of the Department of Revenue is to administer the tax laws of the State of Georgia fairly and efficiently in order to promote public confidence and compliance, while providing excellent customer service. The Department of Revenue Administers tax laws, enforces laws and regulations for the control of alcoholic beverages and tobacco products, and performs motor vehicle tag and title administration.

USDA provides leadership on food, agriculture, natural resources, rural development, nutrition, and related issues based on public policy, the best available science, and effective management. It has a vision to provide economic opportunity through innovation, helping rural America to thrive; to promote agriculture production that better nourishes Americans while also helping feed others throughout the world; and to preserve our Nation’s natural resources through conservation, restored forests, improved watersheds, and healthy private working lands.
