Patricia 'Trish' Ross is the Chief Operating Officer of the Georgia Veterans Education Career Transition Resource (VECTR) Center, an academic gateway into Georgia's postsecondary educational institutions and the civilian workforce. The Georgia VECTR Center assists veterans, Active Duty, Reserve, Guard, and their families by providing career counseling, educational coaching, workforce training, employment assistance and referrals to community resources. Previously, Trish served as the first Director of Military Affairs for the Technical College System of Georgia.
After 25 years in the active Air Force, Trish retired as a Colonel in October 2014, culminating her career as the Vice Commander of Robins Air Force Base where she led the management of facilities and equipment valued at $3.5 billion and operations supporting 55,000 personnel.
Prior to her service at Robins AFB, Trish was a senior fellow with the RAND Corporation in Santa Monica, California and served in a myriad of command, human resource, and operations research analyst positions in Virginia, the Pentagon, Missouri, Italy, New Mexico, Germany, Texas, deploying to central America and the middle east.
Trish received a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of Tampa, Florida; a Master of Science in Systems Engineering Management from St. Mary's University, Texas; and a Master of Science from the Air Command and Staff College at Maxwell AFB, Alabama. She is also a graduate of Air War College and the Joint Forces Staff College.
Trish was appointed by Governor Deal to the Georgia Veteran Service Board and the Military Interstate Children's Compact Commission. She also serves on the state's Returning Veteran Task Force.
