Incentives

Our portfolio of incentives begins with a tax credit to spur job creation, and includes an array of other credits for investing in R&D, shipping through ports, and making key expansion investments. Georgia tax exemptions are just as robust: they can save you lots of money in startup and operating costs. All of this is anchored by a 5.19% corporate tax rate based on single-factor apportionment.

Breaking ground for new business

Tax Credits

Georgia’s statutory tax credits reduce corporate income tax liability, and in some cases, reduce payroll withholding—essentially new cash flow for your company.

Ribbon Cutting Grand Opening

Tax Exemptions

Georgia offers statutory sales and use tax exemptions, and allows cities and counties to reduce or eliminate inventory tax.

Georgia is pro-business

Count on Georgia

NOTICE: Job Tax Credit Annual Ranking Delayed 90 Days
The release of key data metrics from the U.S. Department of Commerce and the U.S. Department of Labor required to calculate the Job Tax Credit Annual Tier Ranking has been delayed. As a result, the annual ranking is not yet available.

To ensure business enterprises have sufficient time to review the ranking and respond to any tier changes, the deadline for submitting Notices of Intent for 2026 will be extended beyond the March 31 deadline to allow for a full 90-day period following the publication of the annual ranking.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to provide the most current and accurate information possible.

Please contact Georgia Department of Community Affairs for more information.
