About West Central Georgia
Consisting of 10 counties, West Central Georgia is home to West Georgia Technical College and the University of West Georgia. With a labor force of nearly 250,000 (including a small portion of Metro Atlanta) the region's top outbound production consists of over $4 billion annually in motor vehicles and/or related parts and accessories.
Visit the Antebellum and Victorian homes of Newnan, or trek the Chattahoochee Bend State Park for camping, fishing and woodland trails. LaGrange, home to the Great Wolf Lodge, is the latest family-friendly destination for visitors to West Central Georgia. And a visit to Thomaston wouldn’t be complete without a walk through the Auchumpkee Creek Covered Bridge or a canoe trip down the Flint River.
