Wayfair Calls Athens-Clarke County Home

Hitachi Automotive Systems America to Expand in Walton County

Hitachi Automotive Systems Americas, Inc. opened their first facility in Georgia in 1997. When they planned to expand their existing facility, they chose Monroe. "Our company is proud to be operating in the State of Georgia now for over twenty-two years,” said Hitachi Automotive Systems Americas, Inc. Bringing Together Care and Community

When Georgia’s Council for the Arts were looking to provide the community with an opportunity to interact with original pieces of art from Georgia artists, they selected Elbert Memorial Hospital as the location in which to showcase the collection. “We believe deeply in the essential role that hospitals play in our rural communities not only as a care center, but as a nexus of well-being and community building, said Karen Paty, executive director of Georgia Council for the Arts.”

Business Grows in Georgia: ESCOGO

Monroe, Ga. based ESCOGO is on the cusp of exponential growth due in part to the assistance they gained through the Georgia Centers of Innovation. As ESCOGO needed to reformulate their product to meet customer demands, the Center connected them with the University of Georgia who provided the research to create a new product.

The Georgia Bioscience Training Center

The facility features custom-made technology that simulates Baxalta’s biomanufacturing processes such as centrifugation, chromatography, nanofiltration and aseptic filling. It also has space for the aseptic production of pharmaceutical-grade clinical samples. Additionally, the training center is equipped to deliver training on a wide range of advanced manufacturing technologies including mechatronics, metrology and process controls.

Caterpillar Grand Opening Georgia

Caterpillar Chairman and CEO Douglas Oberhelman came together with representatives from the state of Georgia, local media and Caterpillar employees for the official ribbon cutting of their new manufacturing facility near Athens. Many of the employees present at the event were trained free of charge by Georgia Quick Start, Georgia's top-ranked workforce training program. Kubota Chooses Georgia for the Long Haul

Kubota recently announced the grand opening of its new $73 million manufacturing facility at Kubota Industrial Equipment in Jefferson, Georgia. The 522,000-square-foot plant on the 88-acre site recently began production of Kubota's 30- to 50-horsepower compact tractor models.
