Digital Health
Georgia leads the nation in digital health technology with more than 300 companies and approximately 30,000 jobs driven by large industry players like McKesson Technologies Inc., Vizient, and Greenway Health, which produces products like electronic health record, practice management, and revenue cycle management solutions.
As a leading state resource for information technology, the Center supports Georgia’s existing and start-up digital health companies by providing the latest information and insights into issues and trends and serving as the connection point between business, government, and higher education to clear the path to innovation and growth.

Cybersecurity
Georgia is a leading center for network and cybersecurity, generating more than $5 billion in annual revenue. More than 115 information security companies call Georgia home, including major players like IBM, Dell, Verisign, and AirWatch by VMware. In addition, the National Security Agency/Central Security Service has operated the Georgia Cryptologic Center in Augusta for nearly a decade. In 2021, we engaged in a unique partnership with Augusta University and the Georgia Cyber Center to expand our program’s reach to the Augusta region. This way, we’ll have better on-the-ground support to better understand the local IT and Cybersecurity ecosystem and to add additional support for this industry as it continues grow in that region.

Creative Technology
The creative technology industry blends human creativity and technology to generate ideas, knowledge, intellectual property, and business opportunities. Audiovisual, books and publishing, advertising, photography, digital media, graphic design, music, animation, film, television, video, gaming, and emerging technologies such as augmented, virtual, and mixed reality all fall within the creative technology realm.
Georgia already has a significant presence in this arena, especially in the areas of film, television, music, video games, and animation.
The Center is part of a team working toward increasing Georgia’s presence in the creative technology space, making the state the global content creation capital, providing practical expertise and links to opportunities, improving investment channels and training, and working with business, industry, and education partners to develop new resources.

Financial Technology
Seventy percent (or more than 118 billion annually) of all FinTech-industry transactions in the country are processed through Georgia’s “Transaction Alley” which comprises more than 200 financial-processing companies. These transactions are an efficient way to manage and deliver financial services, such as mobile banking, crowdfunding, cryptocurrency and more. FinTech companies of all sizes call Atlanta their home due to its business-friendly environment, low cost of living, highly specialized workforce, and growing number of college labs, certificates and degree programs in the industry.
