Georgia Export Grant

Georgia Export Grant, launched in partnership with the U.S. Small Business Administration, provides reimbursement funding to eligible Georgia exporters for pre-approved export activities. This competitive grant program is intended to increase the number of small businesses that export, assist small firms with export development and expand international sales. 

Did you know that most exporters in Georgia are small businesses? These companies are the backbone of our economy, and Georgia made products and services can be found in nearly every country in the world. GDEcD’s Trade team provides a suite of customized services to help companies navigate global opportunities and succeed in exporting. Georgia Export Grant provides financial resources to help small businesses do more globally.

What can Georgia Export Grant Do for My Business?
Georgia Export Grant provides reimbursement grants for eligible and pre-approved export activities. Approved companies are eligible for 75% reimbursement per activity, up to the maximum reimbursement for that activity. This is a competitive grant program; each application is carefully vetted and eligible companies are thoroughly evaluated by the program’s formal review committee. Georgia Export Grant is open to current exporters and export ready small businesses. Companies are strongly encouraged to submit detailed applications outlining their international strategy, current export capacity, on-going export efforts and goals for international expansion. 

Eligible export activities include:

• Design and translation of international marketing materials 
• ExportGA training course
• International trade show booth costs 
• International travel costs for trade shows, trade missions and foreign buyer trips 
• Participation in U.S. Commercial Service programs and services
• Website globalization/localization costs and other fees associated with growing online business opportunities
• Export credit insurance premiums
